4 Ways to Elevate Your Montana Boudoir Shoot

I don’t think I’ve had a single client come into their session not feeling nervous. It’s 100% normal to feel nervous. TRUST your photographer to know what they are doing, I am here for YOU babe!

Here are 4 ways to calm those nerves and elevate your entire Boudoir experience!

#1. Positive Self-Talk:

Instead of focusing on things you don’t like about your body, focus on all of the amazing things it has done for you. No matter how small the accomplishment, they all contribute to your overall sense of self-worth. Speak positive affirmations out loud in the mirror and trust me it will have an impact!

#2. Book a Pre-Boudoir Mani/Pedi or Wax:

I don’t know about you but a good mani-pedi always makes me feel like a QUEEN. It’s such a good way to relax and can make you feel like the Goddess you are. Plus, shiny neutral-colored nails are a sight for sore eyes in your photos. A wax never hurt anyone either right? Just kidding, they totally hurt but are soooo worth that smooth feeling if waxes are your thing! Just don’t forget to exfoliate, moisturize, and have the wax done a few days before your shoot so your skin is not red or irritated.

#3. Make a Boudoir Session Playlist:

Whatever type of music pumps you up and puts you in the zone, I am here for it! The goal is to make you feel supported, loved, and as sexy as possible. Any confidence-boosting songs that will get you in the right mindset are what you’re looking to add to your playlist. Alexa play ‘channeling your inner sex goddess’.

#4. Practice Poses:

A boudoir shoot can be out of your comfort zone, so there is no better way to get more comfortable than to practice at home in the bedroom or with a BFF. There are so many poses to choose from, and I will select the ones that accentuate your body type, but how fun would it be if you had your favorites to look forward to, too?!

XOXO,
