When I first considered a boudoir session, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But after seeing a friend’s stunning photos from her session with Misty Boles, I knew I had to book my own. Her work was incredible, and I could see the confidence radiating from my friend’s images.

I won’t lie—I was nervous at first. The idea of being that vulnerable in front of someone I had just met was a little intimidating. But Misty immediately put me at ease, guiding me through the process, helping me choose lingerie from the client closet, and making sure every detail was perfect. She’s meticulous about posing. I never once worried about unflattering angles or awkward shots because she took care of everything.

One thing that really made the experience fun was having three wardrobe changes. It was the perfect number—you get such a variety of looks without feeling rushed. Each outfit brought out a different side of me, and it made the final images so much more dynamic. I also snagged the nudescape bonus for pre-paying for my collection!

My absolute favorite part? Seeing my photos right after! Since I traveled from out of town, I got to experience that incredible moment immediately, and I was shocked.

Now that it’s over? I cannot wait to do it again. I already have more ideas for my next session! It was such an amazing experience, and I’m so grateful I did it.

If you’re thinking about booking a boudoir session but feel nervous, I get it. I was too! But trust me—it doesn’t take long to find your groove and feel totally confident. Misty does a fantastic job of making sure you are posed perfectly. She is meticulous, which is great because you don’t end up with unflattering things in your photos, like a double chin, which I have seen from other boudoir photographers. But Misty is a perfectionist in the best way, making sure you love every single image.

Did this experience change how I see myself? Maybe not entirely, but I will say this—I was surprised at how beautiful were. I couldn’t believe that was me!
