WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR BOUDOIR SESSION
HOPEFULLY THIS WILL EASE TO YOUR MINDS ON WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT DURING OUR TIME TOGETHER!
Lets say you just scheduled your boudoir session! That is awesome! Reaching out and scheduling is really the hardest part. But now, the more you think at about it your head is swirling with questions. I want to reassure you that you are not alone and lets see if we can’t ease some of those nerves.
Before the Big Day!
Before your session, you will received about quite a few emails from me. They will include things like a session prep guide, a lingerie guide, pricing and places to shop. Usually 4-6 weeks before your session, we will have your consultation. The consultation takes about 30 minutes and allows me to have a better understanding of what you are looking for in your intimate/boudior session. It’s a great chance for us to connect and brainstorm ideas. About a week before your session date, I will reach out to you again and make sure you are prepared for your session.
The Big Day!
I can promise one thing, you will be nervous, even if you have done a sexy photo shoot before. Those nerves will kick in at some point before you make it to my door and that is totally normal. My intimate sessions take place in a townhouse. I think it makes it feels like your going to hangout with a friend for the afternoon versus going to a photo shoot. There will be your favorite music playing and mimosas or champagne, depending on the time of day. Once you get settled, we will look through the outfits you brought, pick our favorites, and determine if you need to borrow anything from my client wardrobe.
Now the fun part! Hair and makeup. Who doesn’t love to have their hair and makeup done? Expert pampering is what sets the tone for this amazing experience. I trust the professionals, to do what they do best. Both of my hair and makeup artists are licensed and insured and can be found at Capital Hill Barber and Salon. Our goal is celebrate the woman you are. Your makeup and hair styling will bring out your assets, but you will still look like your gorgeous self. The shoot will start as soon as you are completely happy with their styling.
Now we shoot! I don’t expect you to know what you are doing. I will pose, guide, and direct you constantly, making sure that you look your absolute finest. I will even demonstrate the poses for you, making sure you know exactly what to do! Depending on the session you choose, your session will last between 30 minutes to an hour and a half and you will wear anywhere between 2-5 outfits. Now the million dollar question…
Am I going to have to get naked? Well, that is up to you. I am as comfortable with you being as naked as you want. If you do choose to take the plunge and go naked, I ask that you trust me, that it will be photographed tastefully. While most women are uneasy at first, these are always the portraits they end up loving the most.
Now What?
Once the session is over, my hope is that you will feel amazing, like you can’t wait to go tell all my friends about this experience feeling. We will set up your reveal appointment within the next 5-7 days. Your reveal appointment will take place at my office which is located within the Sidecar co-working space. This is where you will see your images and decided on what.
Boudoir is so much more than just a pretty picture. It is about unleashing and embracing all the emotions that embody your femininity. I want your session to be a unforgettable, emotional, empowering experience.
